Once your SpamTitan Private Cloud is configured, you will receive an email with the following information from your account manager:
The IP for your SpamTitan Private Cloud. For example, 203.0.113.0
Your sign-in username and password.

Follow the steps below to get up and running. After that, the other sections of the SpamTitan Gateway Admin guide are also relevant to SpamTitan Private Cloud customers.
Your SpamTitan Private Cloud will already be configured for optimal spam catch rates, however, your settings may still require tweaking due to the nature of mail flow and your particular requirements.
To get up and running, sign in to your SpamTitan Private Cloud and follow these best practice steps:

Adding your Domains:
Create an A-record for your SpamTitan Private Cloud login IP.

Send the A-record details to your TitanHQ account manager, who will request a PTR record to be created for your IP.
Note
A PTR record is required to send outbound mail and can take up to 5 days to complete.

Go to System Setup > Mail Relay > Domains to add your domains. See Add Your Domain(s) for more information. When adding your domain(s), consider the following:
Destination Server: If using Office 365, enter the destination server in the following format: example-com.mail.protection.outlook.com (where your domain is example.com).
Recipient Verification: This allows SpamTitan Cloud to verify if a recipient's address exists before sending them an email. If a user does not exist, it will block the email before reaching the mail server. This is optional but strongly recommended.
Once a domain has been added, test to make sure your mail server will accept email from SpamTitan Private Cloud. See Test Connectivity to your Mail Server.

Quarantine reports:

If enabled, a daily quarantine report is sent to users with a list of any emails that have been caught and quarantined. Users can directly deliver, allow list or delete quarantined mail from these reports. We recommend enabling to remove this overhead from your IT department.

If using Office 365, check the following:
Check SpamTitan and Office 365 IP throttling (rate-limits).
Ensure your email is not marked as spam in Office 365.
Set SpamTitan up as your only trusted email source by locking down your Office 365 email server.

Redirect MX Records:
Redirect the MX record(s) for your onboarded domain(s) to point to SpamTitan Cloud by setting your MX-record to the A-record created in step 1.

SSL Certificates:
When users connect to SpamTitan Private Cloud over HTTPS for the first time, they will get a certificate error. This is due to the self-signed certificate we create and use. To avoid this, you can purchase a certificate or add an exception to the user's browser. See SSL Certificates.
Email will now filter through your SpamTitan Private Cloud and the dashboard will begin to populate. Go to Reporting > History to view all mail passing through SpamTitan Private Cloud.
