Our legacy Storage Platform Console offers certain functionality, such as granular reporting, that is not currently available on the RedApp. If you are a RedApp user but you would like to make use of the Console, you will need a separate Console user. You can request this by following the steps below.
Note that you will need to be either a RedApp Partner Admin or a RedApp Company Admin to be able to request a Console user. Read more about RedApp user roles in Article 1423.
To request a Console user:
Log a support ticket using RIA in the RedApp. Specify that you are requesting Console access for your user.
Note: It is important to do this via the RedApp as this allows our support team to authenticate your user, speeding up the request process.
Our support team will create your user and share a temporary password with you. You can use this password to access the Console for the first time. The turnaround time for user requests is typically 3-5 days.
We strongly advise resetting your password immediately. To do this, open the User Access Management view in the Console. Go to Classic Users in the sidebar, then right-click your username and go to Configure.
Under Change password, enter a new, strong password in the Password and Confirm Password fields, then click OK.
