What's changing?

The ability to perform certain tasks in the Console will be disabled for all Groups/Collections and backup accounts, except for those under a Machines base product. The tasks that will no longer be possible from the Console are:

  • Create a Group/Collection

  • Delete a Group/Collection

  • Rename a Group/Collection

  • Move a Group/Collection

  • Delete a backup account

  • Rename a backup account

Following this change, these actions will only be possible in the RedApp. Attempting these actions in the SPConsole will result in the error shown here:

When will this change take effect?

The tasks listed above will be disabled on Thursday 12 October 2023 at 11:00 AM SAST. The change will be seamless and will not result in any downtime.
